A bit about me...

I was born and raised in Lincoln, Neb., and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I graduated with honors. I studied abroad in Spain and India, and I majored in journalism and had minors in Spanish, global studies and English.

Becoming a reporter is a surprising turn of events in my life in some ways and not in others. Journalism helped me to overcome my debilitating shyness and made me a better person through listening.

I’m a reporter, but I’m also a dog owner, runner, kickball and tennis player, singer, artist, concert-goer, traveler, fiction writer and pickup basketball enthusiast. And I’m teaching myself piano.
